Explore the Historic Grandeur Near the Great Smokies
Relocating to a new city can be exciting, yet overwhelming. This is especially true if you are not familiar with the area or do not have family or friends locally. As a family who relocated to East TN not knowing anyone in the area, we understand your concerns and what you are about to face. Leaving Virginia, a place we had called home for many years, was a daunting undertaking, but we were optimistic about what Knoxville had to offer. We put a lot of time into researching the greater Knoxville area, we had a trusted Realtor help guide us during our home search, and most importantly trusted God to lead the way to our new city. Our only regret was not moving sooner.
As a Relocation Buyer's Specialist, Seth and Lisa will assist you in becoming familiar with the different areas in Knoxville to consider in your home search. Together we will offer our practical experience garnered from our own relocation journey. Knox County and the surrounding areas have so much to offer those relocating to East TN. From our breathtaking mountain views, serene lakefront living, to the attractive and peaceful suburbs, there is something for everyone. We will work together to find the best location for your family based on your priorities... whether that is top rated schools, conveniences and shopping, or a close commute to work, we will help guide you through the best neighborhoods given your requirements and budget.
The greater Knoxville area offers you modern conveniences, a premier airport with daily service to major cities, and plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities. The culture, temperate year-round weather, traditional American ideals and freedoms, and beauty of the area lure many to relocate here. Being a part of East Tennessee puts Knoxville in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, where the delightful four seasons, gorgeous natural wonders, and epic attractions are a given.
The neighboring towns nestled around downtown Knoxville are located within Knox County. There are many beautiful counties surrounding Knox County, each offering something different for its residents — Loudon to Blount, Roane, and Anderson County all benefit from being central to Knoxville.
Families are drawn to Knox County for its award-winning schools, proximity to outdoor adventure, and traditional family values, while seniors will find peace and beauty in retiring among one of our many lake or golf communities.
One of the last reasons to consider relocating to Tennessee is the lower cost of living and the absence of state income tax, making it a financially smart move.
The moment you step out of the house, you’ll find how pleasurable it is to explore downtown Knoxville. Visit the Sunsphere at World’s Fair Park or climb rocks and kayak through the lake at the Ijams Nature Center. You can experience the visual arts of East Tennessee at the Knoxville Museum of Art or visit the McClung Museum of Natural History & Culture to immerse yourself in the traditions of ancient civilizations. Locals also love to check out the red pandas at the Knoxville Zoo or hike the Beverly Park Trails for a scenic adventure through the woods. Live Music can be found almost any weekend here in Knoxville!
Market Square offers an abundance of dining options, including patio dining where you can bring your four-legged family members. Some of my personal favorite restaurants downtown include Southern comfort food at Tupelo Honey, the street tacos at Babalu, and the tapas at Vida. There is a vibrant nightlife as well - enjoy a specialty martini at The Vault cocktail lounge, or a craft beer at Abridged Brewing.
If you are a coffee connoisseur, Knoxville has a great bean scene! You can find many unique coffee houses downtown and throughout Knox County!
And of course, you wouldn't be in Knoxville if you didn't spot the majority of residents wearing orange on game days! University of Tennessee football has become a local tradition where everyone roots for the home team!
Not far from Knoxville are the Great Smoky Mountains, which is home to Gatlinburg - a quaint, resort-like village and is known for its beautiful scenery, great shopping, as well as its colorful history. Nearby is Dollywood and Pigeon Forge which all offer an abundance of activities for people of all ages to enjoy!
Knoxville was recently named One of America's Best Towns to Visit 2024, highlighting the city's entertainment options, including an emerging live music scene.
