Welcome to North Knoxville

Sprawling North Knoxville is an up-and-coming district where long-standing Southern eateries mix with hip brewpubs, bakeries, and cafes. The small Old North Knoxville area has shady streets lined with mansions from the late-19th and early-20th centuries in a range of styles from Queen Anne to Craftsman.  Expanding outside of "North Knoxville" you will find other neighborhoods considered in the North part of the City of Knoxville limits.

Neighborhoods in North Knoxville may include Fourth & Grill, Lincoln Park, Fountain City, Pleasant Ridge.   Just north outside the city limits is Halls/Crossroads and Powell.  Each area has a unique offering but offer you the conveniences of being close to downtown Knoxville.  Collectively, this whole area is known generally as North Knoxville (or NoKno).

North Knoxville is known for a great local beer scene and is home to over a quarter of the breweries on Knoxville’s Ale Trail.  Many are walking distance from each other in the “Uptown North” area just north of downtown/Old City.  If you like fruity and sour beers, check out Xül, that was once a car dealership display room; or for a unique grungy 60s vibe in the same building check out Geezers. Crafty Bastard is just down the road and offers a unique experimental options that is pet friendly, or look into Next Level, which is on the corner of Broadway and Central with a great selection of NEIPAs.  The list goes on and on!
